The main objective of Avogadro project is the research into innovative technological solutions for new generations of H2 refuelling stations for heavy goods vehicles and trains, to help the Basque Country gain international recognition as a technological benchmark for the HRS of the future.
To acquire knowledge of the behaviour of materials in contact with H2.
To research into new technologies applicable to components: power electronics, Type I low pressure tanks, compressors, pre-coolers and Type IV cylinders, and testing at TRL4.
To research into new fibre-optic based measurement and detection solutions related to safety and monitoring.
To research into the process and the different configurations for both road and rail transport.
FIELD OF ACTIVITY
Delivering these objectives represents a great technological leap forward, which can only be achieved if all the partners of the AVOGADRO consortium combine synergies with the different players of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network involved in the project. The Specific Objectives, classified into three core strands and aligned with the areas of industrial and technological development included in the AVOGADRO project, are outlined below.

Aerial urban mobility.

Cogeneration for industry and buildings.
Use as a feedstock in industry.

The eight Basque companies will develop new refuelling systems that can be configured with new components, equipment and advanced sensor solutions. Members of the Basque Science and Technology Network will also contribute their knowledge and experience to the technology training of the companies.
